Ballet Faculty:
Beth McLeish, Dean of Ballet
As a student Mrs. McLeish trained primarily with the
Columbus Youth Ballet and the School of American
Ballet, before receiving her degree from Indiana
University. She began teaching ballet full-time in
1999. In 2004 Mrs. McLeish founded the New
American Youth Ballet. She has since recieved
the "Outstanding Teacher Award" from the Youth
America Grand Prix, been a guest of honor at the
School of American Ballet's National Teacher
Weekend, been an exclusive attendee at the
Juilliard Dance Teacher's Conference and was
named one of Fort Wayne's "Top 40 under 40"
business professionals.
Edward Moffat, Principal Faculty
Mr. Moffat's professional career spanned three
decades and ten professional ballet companies.
Mr. Moffat has performed with Theatre Ballet of San
Francisco, Spokane Ballet, Cleveland Ballet, Staatstheatre Saarbrücken, Indianapolis
Ballet Theatre, Chautauqua Dance Company, Ballet Oklahoma, Orlando Ballet, and
Ballet Austin. He has additionally performed as a Guest Artist with several companies and
Universities across the United States, Europe and Asia. Mr. Moffat has taught classical
ballet for the past eight years, four of them as a faculty member of the New American
Youth Ballet.

Academic Faculty:
Mark Bly, Dean of Academics
Mr. Bly has been the primary instructor of math and science for the NAYB Conservatory
Program since 2006. He was named the Dean of Academics in 2008. For his
undergraduate degree Mr. Bly attended Michigan State University where he was also a
member of their Division I baseball team. In addition to teaching at NAYB Mr. Bly is
purusing his master's degree and is a mathematics instructor at IPFW.
